Conversations…

March 4th, 2008 |

There are many things I talk about to make parents and then there are some I don’t. One issue they have talked about was their wills and what not. They even questioned about a life insurance quote that I had to dig up information to get.

In all, our conversations were really well. I can’t say any specifics but, man…I really do LOVE my parents. They are such great people.

So much dog food!!

March 2nd, 2008 |

Every time I go shopping to my local department store, I always…and I mean ALWAYS, end up getting some dog supplies. It’s now to the point where my dog has dog much dog food and snacks that it’s impossible for even finish one bag.

My mom freaks out at me for buying so much, but to be honest…I never really noticed just how much she had already. Plus, I’m positive that I’m an impulsive shopper and will go down an isle and grab a product from the shelf without really thinking.

Maybe that’s how I have so much racked up on bills. I seriously need to change this behaviour.

Nice ceremony

February 24th, 2008 |

My nephew’s baptism was not too long ago. It was absolutely beautiful too. I haven’t had a chance to upload some photos to share with you all, but I will soon enough.

He got a bunch of gifts from us that varied from gold jewelry, clothes, and even necessities. He even got a beautiful gold chain from my older sister and her finance who have become his godparents. He looks so cute when wearing it…and yes, I do have a photo which I’ll post once I get things sorted out.

No more cables…

February 10th, 2008 |

I’m really starting to hate anything that isn’t wireless. Seriously, I have bulk cable everywhere. What do I mean? I have piles of cables together for a bunch of electronics.

Why isn’t everything wireless these days?? That would make rooms have less clutter and actually look a lot better.

I wonder what an entire wireless house would look like…hummm…now that would be really interesting.

Accounts, Money, and Credit Cards…

February 4th, 2008 |

I really need to learn how to save money properly. It seems that I keep spending more than I’m saving which isn’t a good thing especially in the long run and how I want to purchase a Mazda Tribute.

I have two different checking accounts. One is used for direct deposits for work, the other is used for transfers from PayPal. It’s nice seeing both of them have figures in them. The problem is, it never lasts long.

I’m really thinking about cutting up my credit card. I always purchase things on it both online and in my local mall. I think that’s where most of my spending is going. The problem with getting rid of my credit card is the fact that I actually REALLY like it. I like being able to purchase something and not having to worry about paying it until a month later. It really comes in handy when I have no cash on hand.

What on earth am I to do?? ….

Traveling is fun!

January 27th, 2008 |

Traveling is something I love doing!! There are so many more places I want to visit in the next ten years.

The first is Japan. I’ve loved the Japanese culture since I was a kid and finally going there would be so thrilling and make my dreams come true.

There are a few other places like Portugal, Hawaii, Italy, and even the Outer Banks that I want to check out.

So what places would you love to visit??

Headaches due to my new job!

January 27th, 2008 |

For the majority of my life, I never really got a migraine or even headaches. Thus, I never had to take an aspirin or other kind of head medications.

Now that I started my new job, I have to do A LOT of talking on the phones and answering questions to people. I find myself coming home with a headache all the time now.

It’s really weird. I personally don’t like taking medication for anything and believe your body can heal itself, but man…these headaches are a pain in the ass and not something I’m used to.

Lucky for me, I have aspirin at home. I have a feeling that bottle will be used A LOT in the coming months.

It would be nice to go on vacation!

January 25th, 2008 |

Going along with my last post, I want to do a few different things this summer. I would absolutely love to go camping. I’ve never been camping in my life so I’m sure it would be a nice experience.

Plus, I would love to rent a condo or some sort of cottage where I can just relax and be at peace for awhile. Actually, I’ll probably have to look for some nice Hilton Head rentals. They have gorgeous places too!!

Man…summertime is on my mind 24/7 now. I’m so excited and can’t wait!! Plus my nephew will be older as well!! Awww I can’t wait to see him crawling and what not.

Summer coming up quickly!!

January 25th, 2008 |

Summer is approaching rather quickly. If you think about it, it’s only a few months away. I seriously cannot wait!!

The warm summer breeze and the nice sunshine would be a great change from the current winter weather we have in my city.

I’m pretty sure my family will be going on vacation during the summer. I’m not sure if I’ll be going because I got really REALLY burnt last year to the point where I couldn’t get out of the hotel room because my skin hurt sooooo much. It was really crazy.

Now that I think about it, my younger sister said she was probably going to go with her new baby and her hubby. They’ll probably need new luggages or even get a Samsonite one because I know for a fact we don’t have enough for everyone.

Plus, my cousins might even go too!! It would definitely be a crazy airplane ride. I personally can’t even stand 3 hrs on a plane. It’s just too boring and the seats are not comfortable at all!! … especially for larger framed people.

It would be nice to travel in first class but I don’t have that kind of money right now to spend. One day I will just to see how the seats and service is. It sure would be interesting!!

I have never been camping!

January 21st, 2008 |

This summer seems very promising. Not only do I want to move out during those months, but I want to experience going camping at least once in my life.

Yes, I know…it’s sad. I have NEVER been camping before. To be honest, I’m a little scared to go. Just thinking about being out there in the open, in the wild, makes my skin crawl. But, I would give it a try at least once.

That’s what I want to do this summer. Of course I need camping gear and other equipment. Who would I go with? Not too sure, maybe my sisters or something. I don’t know many people who go camping so it would probably be our first time. LOL!

A bunch of newbies going camping…I can so see that happening. LMAOOOOOO!!!

Do you wear funny shirts?

January 21st, 2008 |

There are so many websites on the web that carry funny t-shirts. I can’t imagine being the person walking about wearing a shirt that people are bound to look at your and read.

It’s just too weird for me. I’d rather now call attention to myself and walk around the mall freely without people staring at me. On the other hand, some people actually like all that attention.

But I must admit, I’ve been one of those people who stopped and read someone’s shirt and actually laughed out loud at what it says…but I’d never be the person wearing it. LOL!

Comparing Apartments

January 21st, 2008 |

As I mentioned probably million times on almost all my blogs, I plan on moving out this year. Now that I have a great job that is paying great, I hope to do so probably in the summer.

I have already been looking for places via some online websites that allow you to look at different apartments in your city. I found two that I like. They are very near to my favourite shopping mall, liquor store, and groceries. All in walking distances!!

Both of these apartments are all inclusive and cost the same. However, when I was looking at the images of both and comparing what the apartments look like inside, they differed with the plumbing fixtures in each apartment.

One of the apartments had a bathroom that looked awful. The colour was nasty and the fixtures looked so rusted. Heck no am I going to move in there. The other one looked nice and shiny. Yes, I like nice and shiny. LOL!

So hopefully they have openings in the summer. I don’t want to go on high floors though. I have a max of going up to the third floor and that’s it. After that, I’m scared shitless to look outside. It’s way too high up.

Scorpio Horoscope Today!

January 15th, 2008 |

scorpio.jpgI got an interesting horoscope today in my inbox from Astrocenter.com which I subscribe for. This is what it said for Scorpio which is my zodiac sign.

Your business may require a lot of phone calls and paperwork today, Tina. A business partner or a friend may be instrumental in helping to clear up some loose ends that have been left hanging. Be sure you get any work that’s left over from previous weeks out of the way, as you’ll probably soon become even more busy. When you get bored, remember that success lies ahead. Good luck!

Interesting enough since I am starting a new job today and it deals with being on the phones a lot. The business partner? I’m thinking that would be my good friend who also works there and has been helping me by answering questions I had about the job. I’ll be more busy? Well, I’m sure that is true because I usually just blog all day long and didn’t have a “real” job then. Success?…great…I LOVE SUCCESS!!

See? Some horoscopes are really dead on especially when you apply it to your own life.

Looking at furniture online!

January 6th, 2008 |

As I mentioned before, one of my goals for this year is to move out into my own apartment. Of course it’s got me really excited because I love looking for new ways to decorate an empty space.

I have been looking at things from Ikea like some office furniture, bedroom stuff, and a whole lot of other things. The reason - so I can see which ones match and could potentially be in my apartment.

I want all new furniture so I’ll have to calculate how much I need to save up to purchase all these things ahead of time. Hum…maybe I’ll do some estimates today. Sounds like a plan. Ciao!

Developing my photography portfolio

January 5th, 2008 |

To give you an update from my previous post, shopping for dresses wasn’t that bad. In fact, I ended up finding two different styles I liked. Now we just have to see what the other two bridesmaids think about the styles my sister and I picked.

In other news, I’ve been further developing my photography portfolio. I actually uploaded some new photos to my flickr account. Here is a glimpse of them below.
