Weird…

June 30th, 2008 |

Something weird is going on. I can’t load this blog or even the domain for that fact from home. I can load it at work. WTF is going on?? I thought my sites were down or something, but it seems something weird is just going on. I’m at work right now and thought I’d check in. I guess I’ll have to see if it’s working at home now too.

Weird, weird, weird….maybe it was just my browser? I dunno. I’ll have to see once I get home. I still can’t believe this whole time I thought it was down, yet I was able to view it on my blackberry.

And yes…I GOT A BLACKBERRY!! Will update more if it works from home. cya!!

Too much crap!

June 28th, 2008 |

I seriously need to clean out this closet I have here in my computer room. I have things such as old printers, KVM, routers, empty discs, a bunch of wires & cables, and a whole lot of other crap.

It’s really unbelievable. I can’t even find anything anymore in there. It’s so jammed pack with stuff I’ve used in the past and don’t really need anymore.

I think it’s time for me to do a garage sale or something. I need to get rid of this shit because there is so much and it’s just overwhelming.

Better Safe Than Sorry

June 28th, 2008 |

I never take safety too lightly, especially when it comes to home security. Systems such as ademco ones, are top notch in providing you with a peace of mind.

Whenever I’m home alone, my alarm system is on. Not to mention, even when I’m not home. I just don’t feel safe without it on. I mean, I’m listening to music or watching tv, can I really hear what’s going on in the rest of my house? Not always, which is why having the alarm set is important to me. Whenever someone is on my property, touches a door or window, or even breaks something, I get instant notification and the sirens go off.

I’d rather be safe than sorry. I am even thinking about getting a camera to put out front. It also have a tv set that you can place somewhere so you can see who’s outside. I saw it at Home Depot not too long ago. I think it was close to $200 or so, but geeze…I’d sure as hell would get it.

Cables laying around…

June 28th, 2008 |

Many of us have cables of all sorts laying around the house. I have about five usbs cables, 8 telephone wires, and even a CAT6 cable. Don’t get me wrong, they could come in handy…but seriously?? Too many cables I think.

So what do you do with all the extra cables? Do you throw them out? Sell them in a garage sale? Or what? I store them in plastic bags and keep them in a closet. I don’t know why I do that, but I’m sure I’ll be getting rid of some as soon as spring cleaning fever kicks in.

I Love The Sims 2

June 28th, 2008 |

I love love LOVEEEEEEE playing The Sims 2. I can’t get enough of it playing with families that are poor, rich, and even different cultures than I am. It’s so much fun seeing them reach their term life, as in end of the road, hello grim reaper. LOL!

It’s funny when he comes along and those two hula girls are dancing. It cracks me up each time. Then you have the rest of the family members crying their eyes out. But that doesn’t last for long. After like 15 seconds you hear KACHING!!! They cashed in on that loved ones life insurance. LOL! Then they have lots of spending money.

I Love Shopping Online

June 28th, 2008 |

I love shopping online. I buy things like movies, cds, handbags, camera accessories, and even some handcrafted jewelry that I find to be unique and stylish.

Whenever I’m seriously into the shopping mood, you’ll find me online browsing shops on Etsy.com, Ebay.ca, and other great sites where you can find amazing stuff. Best of all, the prices are dirt cheap and not what you would find at overly priced shops in town.

Thank goodness for the internet. I don’t know what I’d do without it.

Hoodia Gordonii Capsules

June 25th, 2008 |

I finally got my order from HoodiaHoodia.com. I ordered at the end of May and should of received it within a week but I didn’t get it. I waited and waited. Then finally yesterday, I realized it’s been almost a month, so I emailed them to complain that I didn’t receive my order yet. They checked it out and it seemed they mailed it to the wrong address. So I just received it today which was within 24 hours from the time I sent the email. They also gave me a free bottle too!! Thanks!!!

I completely did my research in finding reputable companies that sold 100% hoodia and not those fake ones from Ebay or other sites that claim it’s the real thing. There were only two companies that were legit and actually displayed their certificates on their websites. They are:

I have ordered from both places and have received both. I haven’t tried neither yet. In fact, I was going to try the HoodiaHoodia.com version with the fudge bars, and my sister was going to try the ones from Hoodia-Dietpills.com. That way we can see which one works better.

So I’ll probably be starting the HoodiaHoodia.com capsules tomorrow which I’m actually excited to try out. The Hoodoba ones (green bottles) is for my sister to try out.

Well, I have made a Hoodia category where my progress will be placed in. So subscribe to the rss feed and stay updated. Tomorrow will be the beginning.

Imagine Coughing 24/7….

June 21st, 2008 |

I’m sick…terribly sick. I even had to cancel two shifts from work (yesterday and today). The problem? I have this cough that is just not going away. I don’t know what to tell ya. I swear I cough over 200 times a day and I’m not even exaggerating. It seems like I cough every minute and sometimes it will last a whole minute in itself.

I think I have bronchitis or something. I’ve have bronchitis before when I was a child along with asthma which definitely wasn’t two things you should have together. But I think I have yet again got bronchitis. I think this is what I had earlier this year too. I didn’t go to the doctor then, but it lasted nearly a month.

My mom has a prescription to some kind of cough medicine that you can only get via prescription from a doctor. This cough medicine supposedly makes your cough go away in a day or two. It worked for my mom and even my aunt who my mom gave some to when she came over with a cough. So, I’m just hoping I can get my hands on some of that and maybe…just maybe my cough will go away? I hope so. I can’t be missing days of work all the time and I just can’t stand coughing 24/7.

Yes 24/7 of coughing…not a lie. Just imagine this…

Laying your head to go to bed at night and you’re coughing every couple of minutes. Then waking up in the middle of the night after you’ve slept for an hour or two and then coughing some more. You go to the bathroom and get a drink still coughing. Back to bed. You wake up a few times during the night because of coughing. Morning time. The alarm goes off and you start coughing. Get up and out of your bed to head to bathroom again still coughing. Heading to your kitchen to get something for breakfast, all the way coughing. Then throughout your entire friggin day coughing every couple of minutes.

  • You can’t carry on a conversation with someone because you’re coughing.
  • You can’t talk on the phone because you’ll cough.
  • Don’t even think about walking around the block with the dog. You’ll be coughing up a storm.
  • You’re trying to watch your favourite tv show but can’t hear because of your coughing. Turn the tv volume wayyy up.
  • Don’t even think about even eating…you’ll cough and all your food will spit out.
  • Same thing goes for drinking. Drink only after you’ve coughed or else you’ll have the consequence of spitting it everywhere or it coming out of your nose if you try to keep your mouth shut.

Try living like that…it’s not good at all!! And even throughout this entire week that I’ve managed to get this cough (since Monday when I noticed), I’ve lost 10lbs. Yes 10lbs! I mean…sure it’s something to celebrate but not like this. I know that’s not healthy at all and I know it’s due to having this cough.

Just the other day I spent the ENTIRE DAY…when I say the ENTIRE DAY…I mean when I wake up in the morning until 11pm at night before I fell back asleep…I spent it in bed watching movies. The only time I got up was to go to the bathroom or go get some more water. Crazy isn’t it? I just had no energy at all to move. I mean, I can be lazy at times believe me, but that day, I just couldn’t do anything.

Have I mentioned other things that’s happened during the this week? I also had a stuffy nose, watery eyes, pounding headache and now even muscles ache. My left arm is ABSOLUTELY killing me. It’s so tight and I can literally press down on muscles. Even a back muscle also on my left side is hurting.

I JUST WANT ALL THIS PAIN TO GO AWAY!!

I am seriously going to lose my mind and I know what you’re thinking, “What don’t you go see a doctor?” The problem with that is I can’t stand my family doctor. He’s an old geezer who never knows what’s wrong with me and just sends me to see specialists. My entire childhood was going from specialist to specialist that is one of the reasons I dispise him now. “Then why don’t you switch doctors?” The problem with that is the fact that no doctors in my area are willing to take on new patients. It’s a lose-lose situation for me. The only thing that comes to mind is for me to go to one of those free clinics. Now that will take hours since it’s ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS packed. We have over 10 in my city and no matter which one I go to, there will be a wait of an hour or more.

So I guess I’m just going to wait a few days. Until Tuesday at least. Hopefully my mom will get that cough medicine she keeps talking about and I’ll try it. If it doesn’t work, then I guess I have no choice but to see a doctor.

Can’t pick up a book…

June 19th, 2008 |

I don’t know what has gotten into me. I just don’t have the desire to read anymore which is quite odd since I’m always up for a new book. The sad thing is, I just can’t get myself to pick up a book. It doesn’t even cross my mind anymore. The only things that do come to mind are the internet and watching movies. Now how much can that exercise your brain? Not a whole lot in my opinion.

So if you’re wondering about the lack of updates on this website, then you know why. Like I said, I just don’t have any desire to read right now. Maybe some new book will come out soon and get me back in the groove of things. I can only hope so because I truly enjoy reading a good book on my spare time.

Updated Theme + Some Photos

June 19th, 2008 |

Well, I finally got around to updating the theme on this website. This is a theme I purchased from Chic Blog Design by the fabulous Teresa. I did minor changes to it and even added a second sidebar because I’m a 2 sidebar kind of gal. But nevertheless, I ADORE THIS THEME!!! Thanks Teresa!!

In other news…I’m sadly sick. I got a stupid cold that I am not liking one bit!! It’s a horrible non-stop cough, stuffy nose, watery eyes, and a pounding headache. I even spent the entire day in bed watching movies…that’s how much energy I have right now. I’m really looking forward to this cold going away because I can’t stand being sick.

Anyways, my photography class is done and over with for the semester. I  just had my exam the other day. Now I’m looking forward to the fall semester when I can register for some more courses I need in order to get my photography certificates. Check out some of my photos below which I submitted for an assignment. I love the flower one.

HDR Photography

June 18th, 2008 |

Have you tried HDR (high dynamic range) imaging? I tried it just this past weekend because of an assignment I had for my photography class. It was actually really fun.

What you do is set your camera on your tripod, and take pictures of the same scenery but with different exposures each time. Then you generate a HDR image through programs such as Photomatix Pro 3.0, which is what I use, and then just adjust the image via tone mapping. The results are absolutely breathtaking.

You can see some of my photos below. Just click the image to view it larger.

Also, if you want to see more examples of HDR photographs, just search it on Flickr.com. There are some really amazing stuff there as well!!

Play Spades Online!!

June 17th, 2008 |

There are many websites online that offer gaming opportunities for those who want to try their luck. Even I have given in a few times just to see if I could win something.

The one game I haven’t had a chance to play around with yet is the spades games which you can easily play at Spadester.com.

Their site is one of the best ones I have personally seen in regards to style, design, and to the point. You can find all the information you require before signing up.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • learn how to play the game
  • easy to understand download & install instructions
  • user guide with quick faqs + tips
  • articles by a top spades expert
  • and even a forum where you can reach out to other individuals and learn how they play the game

Not only all of that, but payment on Spadester.com is a breeze. They use major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and even American Express. They also take two other methods of payment which are the Diner’s club card and JCB. Plenty of options for everyone!!

Don’t think that you only have to play for money, because YOU DON’T!! You can also play the spades game just for fun!! The software can be downloaded for FREE and played for FREE without any limitations. There are even different game levels you can achieve!

If playing games online with other folks and maybe even winning some extra cash sounds fun to you, then check out Spadester.com. HAVE FUN!!

Personalized Gifts Are Great!

June 15th, 2008 |

I personally love the whole idea of personalized gifts. What better way receiving a gift that if it’s made especially for you?

Children, adults, and seniors all love these kinds of gifts. They can range from a story book, bath robe, jacket, or even a keychain. I mean…the possibilities for personalizing a gift are pretty much endless.

If you have to get a gift for someone soon, why not consider getting them something personalized. I’m sure they’d appreciate it!

Losing your home

June 15th, 2008 |

On many tv shows I watch, people always have their houses going into foreclosure. I have yet to see this happen to anyone I know or around my neighbourhood. Do I want to see it happen to someone? Of course not.

I mean…how sad would it be to lose your home. Very sad I think that’s why I wouldn’t wish that on anyone! You’ve gotta have a home…somewhere to relax and call your own. Somewhere where you can feel safe and have your own privacy.

I can’t imagine what life if like for anyone who has gone through this.

Toys can be fun!

June 15th, 2008 |

Having my nephew here all the time, it’s become a habit to playing with toys around here. Just sitting on the couch, there are toys that make sounds when you touch the buttons.

Of course, I have one hell of a time pissing off other family members who are watching tv. BEEP BEEP BEEP!! That’s all you hear. LOL! It’s hilarious and I actually pissed my mom off really bad today because I was doing that.

Oh man…the fun things toys can do. Hahaha!
