Growing up with pimples…who doesn’t?

April 28th, 2008 |

When my sisters and I were growing up, we all had our share of acne problems. I mean, who doesn’t these days. Of course we tried a variety of acne solutions and different products to help get rid of it. Some worked and some didn’t.

My parents keep saying that drinking pop and eating chocolate bars gives you acne. To be honest, I disagree. I haven’t actually searched if it does or not, but it just seems far fetched.

Maybe I’ll go search that now. LOL!

Macro Monday - Colours

One of the toys I recently bought my nephew.

BBQ Chicken!

April 25th, 2008 |

I absolutely love the way my parents cook bbq chicken sometimes. They have these pans that you stick whole chickens on them and can mix veggies and other things on the bottom and cook it all in the barberque. Well, they cooked it just the other day and I ended up taking some photographs. And yes…it was DELICIOUS!!

Summer weather = more cars!

April 24th, 2008 |

Now that summer weather has clearly come, I’m seeing more and more motorcycles and sport cars out on the roads.

Nothing wrong with that, except the fact that most of the sport cars I have seen have those rear spoilers. I’m not a huge fan of those and personally think they look silly on a car.I’m sure many others would disagree, but that’s just my opinion.

Another thing I have noticed is that because there are so many cars out driving, the lanes are backed up like CRAZY!! It really is insane in my area, plus there is so many stop lights, so you can imagine the waits.

That’s why I’d prefer to live out in the countryside. Hardly any traffic or stoplights. Plus, it’s just more down to earth. I really REALLY want to live out in the countryside. Hopefully, someday I’ll buy a house out there.

A “blah” day

April 24th, 2008 |

It’s been such a “blah” day today. I mean…the weather was nice out but I wasn’t feeling it. I just grudged around all day in pjs. Not to mention I have a big pile of mess on my desk and in my room that I wanted to clean up and get organized. Did I do so? Nope…haven’t even touched the mess as of yet.

Then there’s emails, blog postings, assignments, and other crap I still have to do. Will I get to it tonight? Probably not. I might have to tackle it all tomorrow morning before I head off to work.

I am in serious need of a vacation. I’m not even exaggerating. It just feels like I need one asap. I need my mind to cool off of things and just relax in the glorious sun and swim to my hearts content.

Time to call it a night…

April 22nd, 2008 |

After a long day of many packages arriving in the mail, going shopping with my sisters, then having my photography night class, I think I’m ready to call it a day. What will I be doing tonight? Well…I got two new movies in the mail that I purchased recently. You can see them in the photo below. I’ll probably watch Juno tonight and than Nancy Drew sometime tomorrow.

He’s Getting So Big!

April 21st, 2008 |

Geeze…I can’t believe how fast babies grow! It just feels like yesterday when I was holding my nephew Marquis for the very first time. I was actually scared to hold him because I didn’t want to hurt the little guy, plus it was my first time holding a baby.

Now he’s five months going on six. It’s crazy how time flies and how fast they grow in such a short amount of time. My nephew is half Jamaican (his father), so his curls are definitely starting to show. It’s soooo adorable!! Just look at the latest photo I took of him below.

Stroll by the lake…

April 21st, 2008 |

One of my favourite things to do once the weather starts to warm up, is go down to the lake. In Hamilton, the park is called Confederation Park. The lake…well it’s Lake Ontario. I love strolling up and down by the lake side watching people pass by, birds fly, and the water slowly come up the sand. It’s really soothing and probably one of my favourite spots of peace and quiet.

A few days ago, my family ventured out for a nice stroll. Of course my nephew fell asleep so I couldn’t take any photos of him on the rocks, by the sand, etc. I did take some nice photos of just the environment and surrounding area. Even though the photos below depict the water to be nice and blue, it is heavily polluted and I wouldn’t even dream of swimming in that water.

I’ll stick with it…

April 20th, 2008 |

Going hand in hand with my last post…there are some things I just don’t have a grasp on such as these used cisco. I mean…I know what it’s used for but still. Just not something I would browse the web looking for.

Well…I’m quite content with the router I have now. It’s a trusted company that I have gone with for many years. Would I change to another? Nope.

Same thing goes for my camera as well even though some people don’t like the company and prefer the “popular” ones.

Ya okay…

April 20th, 2008 |

Wouldn’t it be nice to have all the answers to everything? Maybe so especially when you come across things like patch panels. Actually…there are many things I don’t know what they are or ever heard of them until I do an online search.

I feel so small with all the things out there that I don’t know about. I’m not the only one who feels this way too because I’ve had similar conversations with family about it too.

I guess that’s why we are on Earth…to learn?

I’m A Golf Virgin

April 19th, 2008 |

I’ve mentioned this quite a lot of times on many of my blogs, I am a golf virgin. Yup…I have NEVER played golf before in my life!! Ever!!

In fact..I don’t even know the rules or anything about it only that you have to get the ball in the whole. What kind of equipment do you have to get. Do you go with Cobra golf stuff or other companies? I don’t know because I don’t have the knowledge in this field.

What brand of clubs are you suppose to get? Are there ones better than others? Does it really matter?

So many questions that I don’t have the answers to.

Bath Lift

April 19th, 2008 |

Like I was saying in my last post, it would be nice to have a huge bathtub. In fact, it would be really nice when you are much older and need help getting in and out of the tub. Something like this bath lift may be a nice investment.

You never know when you’ll actually need something like that. You may have to use it if you are young too. That is, is something happened to you and you physically can’t get in and out of the tub on your own.

A Jacuzzi Bathtub Would Be Nice!

April 19th, 2008 |

It would be nice to have a nice huge bathtub. I don’t think I’d ever use shower chairs, but it would be nice to have plenty of space to relax in.

My cousin has a nice jacuzzi bathtub. It’s gigantic and has jets to give off massages. It’s really amazing to be quite honest. I wouldn’t mind having one of those in my house.

Can you imagine how much water you would have to waste to fill it all up? Must be a lot!!

Wealthy & Sophisticated Pet

April 19th, 2008 |

Can you imagine being a very wealthy and sophisticated pet? I would want to join the chess or even wine club just to meet others with similar interests!!

Too bad I’m not a wealthy pet. It would be nice to wear the most fashionable doggy clothes available. Plus, not to mention all the doggy bling bling out there.

If only…*sigh*…oh well…have to appreciate what you have as others may have less.

Curling up in a sink? WHY??

April 19th, 2008 |

As a dog, the best places I love to lay down are the sofas, computer chairs, beds, and any other soft surface in the house.

But those stupid cats…well…they tend to like curling up in the bathroom or kitchen Blanco sinks…HELLO?? How is that comfortable??

I never understood why so many cats do that. How is curling in a wet, hard surface comfortable? How can you even nap in there? Where’s the pillow or the blanket? Then you got the tap, tap, tap of the water drops dripping.

It just doesn’t make sense to me.
